Andreas Nordebäck has qualified for the final and the concluding free program in the World Championship in Boston.
The 21-year-old Swede performed a good short program to music from Depeche Mode, taking an early lead and securing a final spot with 79.03 points.
When the stars came in later groups, he was surpassed, but advanced to the final with a good margin and finished 17th. The 24 best skaters will skate the free program, which starts late on Saturday evening Swedish time.
Nordebäck finished 18th in the World Championship 2023 and 23rd last year when he had an injury-filled season.
This season, he has come back strong and finished 11th in the European Championship.
Besides Andreas Nordebäck, ice dance pair Milla Ruud Reitan and Nikolaj Majorov are also Swedish participants in the World Championship.
