Noomi Rapace visits Gothenburg together with the film's director Teona Strugar Mitevska and the festival also shows a retrospective of some of the Swedish actress's best films.
"It feels both natural and incredibly nice to present this year's Nordic Honorary Award to Noomi Rapace. She captivates audiences all over the world with her uncompromising presence and fearless expressiveness," says Pia Lundberg, artistic director at the Gothenburg Film Festival, in a press release.
"Mother" will have its Nordic premiere at the festival and will be released in Swedish cinemas in February. The Gothenburg Film Festival runs from January 23 to February 1.
