Nöjesguiden was started in 1982 and has provided guides to popular culture, restaurants and events over the years. But now the owner company HKM Media Group is going bankrupt. What will happen to the magazine is uncertain.
The entertainment guide is a cockroach that refuses to die, editor-in-chief Frasse Levinsson tells SVT, admitting that the news "doesn't come like a bolt from the blue."
The bankruptcy application for HKM Media Group was filed with the Stockholm District Court on Tuesday. The company runs a total of a dozen magazines, including the hip-hop magazine Kingsize.
This is the second time in a short time that the company behind Nöjesguiden has gone bankrupt. Back in 2024, the owner company NGM HKM was declared bankrupt, after which the staff was transferred to the parent company HKM Media Group.
