Shortly before María Corina Machado's peace prize was announced in October last year, large sums were suddenly bet on the unexpected Venezuelan on the prediction market Polymarket.
"We believe that it is most likely a case of digital intrusion. The arrows point to someone having gained access to information that we want to keep secret by infiltrating our systems," Kristian Berg Harpviken, head of the Nobel Institute, tells TV2.
The Nobel Institute does not know who is behind it.
There are many actors, private and state, who neither wish us nor the Nobel Peace Prize well.
