The suspected perpetrator in Boden was shot dead by two police officers in an emergency situation, the prosecutor says. The prosecutor is now closing the preliminary investigation into the officers who shot him.
He took steps towards them with a knife; he was a couple of metres away and they perceived it as an attack, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Bengt Åsbäck told Sveriges Radio.
It was on Christmas Day that a 55-year-old mother was murdered and two teenage daughters were injured.
