Borg Høiby's request to be shackled instead of locked up was previously rejected by both the district court and the court of appeal. Now the Supreme Court has also denied it.
"The Board of Appeal unanimously finds that the appeal cannot be upheld," the Supreme Court writes in its decision.
Høiby's defense attorney René Ibsen tells Nettavisen that this was his last chance before the verdict, which is expected on June 15.
"I haven't spoken to him, but I know he's disappointed now. And yes, he'll sit there until the verdict comes," says Ibsen.
