There was no playing time for Alexander Isak in the World Championship qualifying premiere against Slovenia. The risk was too great to use him today, says the national team captain Jon Dahl Tomasson.

Alexander Isak has only completed three team trainings, with the Swedish national team this week, after the summer break. Due to the contract negotiations, he was not allowed to be with Newcastle and train, but has had to work out on his own.

Since he has only had three trainings and no preseason and of course no match time, the risk was too great to use him today, says Jon Dahl Tomasson in Viaplay.

When asked if the superstar will get playing time against Kosovo on Monday, the national team captain responds:

Hopefully, hopefully, as a "game changer".

The transfer to Liverpool was completed on the last day of the transfer window. Liverpool had, according to reports, to pay more than 1.6 billion kronor for Isak.
