Instead, the 30-year-old is focusing on the Natural Selection competition and a film production that will capture his passion for freestyle skiing.
"I still love slopestyle and big air, but I feel that I want to wholeheartedly focus on this, Natural Selection has grown within the snowboarding scene and something I want to be a part of", he says in a press release.
Sven Thorgren finished fourth in slopestyle at the Olympic Games in Sochi 2014.
