The HBO series ended on Sunday with an explosive finale episode.
In an interview with the New York Times a few hours after the episode, Sam Levinson confirmed that the series has ended for good.
"Given the story we wanted to tell, the one about addiction and its consequences, this feels like the end," he said.
Fans of the series have speculated that a fourth season could not happen, partly because actors like Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney have become such big stars outside of the series.
