"The infection is no longer present at Södersjukhuset," writes Annelie Liljegren, chief physician at Södersjukhuset, in a press release.

It was on Wednesday that Södersjukhuset announced that measles had been discovered in a patient. The case was discovered on August 3 and the patient, who came to the paediatric emergency department, is said to have been infected abroad.

"Thanks to rapid contact tracing and the fact that we were able to quickly offer vaccines and antibodies to affected patients, relatives and employees, the risk of any of them contracting the disease is very small," says Liljegren.
