The police announced on Sunday evening that they have found the 17-year-old girl from Gråbo in Lerum municipality who has been missing since Thursday.
She was found, physically unharmed, in a residence in an adjacent police region.
We have conducted an investigation and come to the conclusion that there was a high probability that she was at that location, and there we also found her, says Jens Andersson, press spokesperson at the police.
The police will now hold a conversation with the girl to investigate the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. The incident needs to be further investigated before a crime can be completely ruled out.
Out of consideration for the girl's personal integrity, the police do not want to comment on the incident further.
The police initiated a regional special incident, and on Saturday went out with a call to the public to get in touch with tips on where the girl was.
The voluntary organization Missing People has been involved in the case.
