The police went out on Saturday with a call to the public to contact them if they have seen her or have tips on where the girl is.
We continue to search based on tips and information that we gather. But so far, we do not know where she is, says the police's press spokesperson Jens Andersson.
No given search area
So far, there is no given search area, but the police are searching along roads, in places where she, according to tips and information, could turn up and at hubs such as bus and railway stations.
The voluntary organization Missing People is involved in the case, but has no active search effort. Such an effort will not be initiated until the police give the go-ahead, according to the organization's operational manager Christer Nordqvist.
On Sunday, the work involves receiving tips from the public and forwarding them to the police.
I think there should have been more tips, considering it's such a young girl and the case has received so much attention in the media, says Christer Nordqvist.
A state of uncertainty
On Friday, the police initiated a regional special incident. The girl may have left home voluntarily, but there are circumstances that make it impossible to rule out a crime, according to the police.
There is a state of uncertainty that we do not like, and therefore we would like to find this girl as soon as possible, says Jens Andersson.
The 17-year-old girl is approximately 150 cm tall and has dark shoulder-length hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was said to have been wearing a purple lightweight jacket or a white bomber jacket. She is also said to have with her two bags, a pink Stadium bag and a black leather bag with two handles, according to the description from Missing People.
