Maria Sid did not win an international Emmy for her role in SVT's drama series "Smärtpunkten." The actress had to go home empty-handed from the gala in New York.

"The Pain Point", directed by Sanna Lenken, was broadcast on SVT in 2024 with David Dencik in the role of Norén.

Maria Sid played theater producer Isa Stenberg, who, together with director Lars Norén, staged the controversial play "7:3" featuring three serious criminals from Tidaholmsanstalten. Two of them were later involved in the police murders in Malexander in 1999.

Maria Sid was one of four nominees in the Best Actress category. The award went instead to Anna Maxwell Martin for the thriller series "Until I Kill You."

Last year, Maria Sid received the Swedish television award Kristallen for her role in "Smärtpunkten".
