Pernilla Lindberg did not reach the final on 100 meters breaststroke (S14). The Swede's time 1.22,68 was only enough for a tenth place and the eight best times went to the final.

Earlier during the championship, the Paralympics veteran – she is competing in her fourth consecutive championship – finished eighth in the final on 200 meters freestyle. She will also swim 200 meters medley in Paris.

Nicola St Clair Maitland is seen as a talent for the future and the 21-year-old took a European Championship bronze on 400 meters freestyle earlier this year. Now, the Södertälje swimmer has made her Paralympics debut and in the trials, she set a Swedish record on the distance (S7) with the time 5.57,26, according to SVT.

However, it was not enough to reach the final – the time was the 10th best and the eight best went to the final. St Clair Maitland will also swim 50 meters butterfly on Saturday.

For Conrad Hildebrand, it is finished competing in his Paralympics debut. The 29-year-old swimmer reached the wall with the time 5.43,94 on 200 meters freestyle (S2). It was the 11th best trial time, where the eight best went to the final.

Hildebrand has previously competed in Paris on 50 and 100 meters backstroke.
