No Arrests After Tumba Explosion Injures Mother and Child

No one has been arrested after the explosion in a row house in Tumba where a mother and a child were seriously injured on Monday night.

It was late on Sunday evening when the alarm came and when the rescue service arrived at the scene, the row house was burning heavily. A woman and a child who were in the row house were seriously injured, but according to reports, it is not life-threatening.

By Tuesday morning, no one had been arrested for the crime.

We don't know yet what exploded, says Mats Eriksson, press spokesperson for the Stockholm police.

The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into attempted murder, aggravated general destruction, and serious crime involving fire hazardous and explosive materials.

According to reports from the rescue service, a man and a woman with two minor children live in the residence. According to media reports, the target of the attack may be a person at a different address.
