Japanese carmaker Nissan will sell its Tokyo headquarters to raise more money.

The automaker is selling its headquarters for $630 million to a Japanese real estate company, but will rent the premises. The deal is expected to net the company $480 million. The money will be used to modernize internal systems and increase the use of AI-powered systems.

Nissan has had trouble returning to profitability and posted a loss of $4.4 billion in the last fiscal year that ended in March.
