The Japanese game giant Nintendo reports an operating result of 35 billion yen (approximately 2.3 billion kronor) for the fourth quarter of the broken fiscal year – a profit of 46 percent compared to a year earlier.
The result was worse than expected. Analysts had on average counted on 39.8 billion yen, according to Bloomberg.
Nintendo's forecast for the recently initiated fiscal year is an operating result of 320 billion yen, significantly lower than expected. The average forecast there was 449.4 billion yen.
The net sales during the year are estimated at 1,900 billion yen, compared to the average forecast of 2,020 billion.
