Nine-year-old Fabio is trapped in a collapsed apartment building in La Guaira. After international rescue teams left the scene, the boy's father heard his voice in the rubble in the middle of the quiet night.

Rescue workers from Mexico and Brazil, among others, returned and have found signs of life and seen blinking eyes in the darkness via audio equipment and a small camera.

On Friday, the first rescue tunnels collapsed due to heavy rain, but after new signs of life, the search is still ongoing.

The boy's mother is feared dead.

The two earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5, are the most powerful in the country in over a hundred years and have claimed over 4,000 lives.
