Of more than 1,080,000 passenger trains, 88.6 percent arrived on time - trains that reach their final station no more than five minutes after the scheduled time are considered on time.
Punctuality, which was the best since 2022, improved by 1.4 percentage points compared with 2024 and by 0.9 percentage points compared with 2023.
In December, punctuality was 92 percent, despite the passage of Storm Johannes during the intervening days.
According to the Swedish Transport Administration, there were more trains in service and more track work than ever before last year. However, the number of disruptions that delayed traffic decreased by more than 10 percentage points.
