The Swedish right-back will not play for an indefinite period. The decision was communicated by her Danish club, Team Esbjerg, on its official website.
"We hope to see Nina back in Team Esbjerg when she is ready to play handball again. Until then, we wish her all the best," says coach of the Swedish national team, Tomas Axnér.
Koppang joined Esbjerg in early 2025 after Norwegian club Vipers Kristiansand went bankrupt. Before that, she spent six seasons at Sävehof.
She has played 50 international matches for Sweden and was part of the Swedish World Cup squad that did not achieve the desired result at the championship in Germany earlier this winter.
