The 30-year-old centre-back was selected for the national team squad ahead of the matches against Hungary and Algeria, but with a caveat since he and his wife Maja are expecting their third child.
Lindelöf missed the 2–0 win in Budapest on Friday and now it is clear that he will not join the team ahead of Tuesday's home match against Algeria in Solna. This decision was made in connection with Monday's training session.
All players in the current squad participated in the training session at the national arena.
The match against Algeria is the last international match before the World Championship qualifying starts in early September, with away matches against Slovenia and Kosovo.
