Explosions were heard in several parts of the capital Kyiv overnight, and according to Ukrainian authorities, at least two people have been killed. One of them was a 12-year-old boy, the city's mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said on Telegram.
Among the dead is a 35-year-old woman. In addition, at least ten people have been injured.
In the Podilskyi district, a child and his mother have been pulled from the rubble after an attack on a residential building. Both have been handed over to medical care, according to Klitschko.
Flight alarms have been sounding in the city since around 2:30 a.m. local time, Kyiv Independent reports.
In the city of Dnipro, one person has also been killed and ten people injured as a result of attacks. In the city of Odesa, at least five people have been injured, according to AFP.
