At 02:00, the police were alerted to a row house in Kungälv after a suspected explosion outside a door in a row house section. Technicians and bomb disposal experts were on site during the night.

There are only material damages, says Johan Josarp, duty officer at Police Region West.

At 04:25, the next explosion occurred – this time at a hair salon in Trollhättan. Just minutes later, something exploded at a kiosk a few blocks away.

There are no personal injuries here either, but some material damages, says Johan Josarp.

The police do not want to comment on whether there is a connection between the explosions on Friday morning.

The investigation is ongoing. There is nothing I can say about it at present, says police spokesperson Helene Ramsmo.

But potential connections to other events are something one always looks at, says Ramsmo.

The police currently have no information on what exploded. Investigations into gross general vandalism have been initiated in all cases.
