Swedish speed skier Felix Monsén gets a nightmare load ahead of the upcoming alpine World Championship, which starts in just a few days.
He has been struck by stomach flu.
I woke up yesterday with stomach flu and didn't feel super well, he says to Radiosporten.
Monsén has an upward trend, after finishing 10th and 22nd in the latest World Cup competition in Kitzbühel. The Super-G on February 7 will be his first competition in the World Championship.
It feels super to get there, since it's a big step on the way to the goal we set for next season with the Olympic Games, he says about the World Championship.
The alpine World Championship takes place from 4 to 16 February.
