Nightmare round for Åberg - crashes at the US Open

"It was tough, it was crap. Really, from start to finish it felt like it," Åberg tells Viaplay.

The Swede had a round of seven bogeys and one birdie, six over par in total. Åberg made four straight bogeys between holes nine and twelve.

"I never got into the 'speed' on the greens; I was very short, very bad actually. Then I missed in the wrong places when the greens got hard towards the end, and that's when it became what it was," Åberg says.

The 26-year-old is tied for 47th place at +7, after 69 and 72 shots in the first two rounds.

American Wyndham Clark leads at -7 after the third round was completed.
