Falkenberg, who were in fifth place before the match, and IFK Norrköping, in eleventh place, both had the chance to move to the top of the league in an unusually tight table.

Falkenberg took advantage of that opportunity. The home team secured three points after a narrow 1–0 victory.

The only goal of the match came in the 63rd minute when Oskar Lindberg's shot slipped past away goalkeeper David Mitov Nilsson.

The victory means that Falkenberg remains undefeated in the Super League and now tops the table, ahead of Örebro.

Norrköping remains in eleventh place.
