It only took around 16 seconds on the slopes in Slovenia for the 31-year-old - his day was over after a crash in the first run.
This World Cup season, Jakobsen has crashed seven times either in the first or the second run. At the Bormio Olympics in February, he was one of 49 skiers who crashed in the first run when it was snowing heavily.
In the World Cup, Jakobsen has only one result this winter in ten starts - a 13th place in Kitzbühel in January.
Fabian Ax Swartz was 21st after the first run, but in the second he moved up to eleventh place.
It was, in a sense, an all-Norwegian podium. Atle Lie McGrath won ahead of compatriot Henrik Kristoffersen, with the “Norwegian” Brazilian Lucas Pinheiro Braathen in third place.
