On Sunday evening, Tre Kronor på X announced that Bäckström was leaving the squad. Anton Lindholm, Max Friberg and Felix Nilsson were also leaving.
They are replaced by Isac Heens, Frölunda HC, Sebastian Hartmann, Timrå IK, Fredrik Olofsson, Rögle BK, and Simon Ryfors, HC Davos.
The Finland Hockey Games start on Thursday.
