Everything was set for Nick Leivermann to make his debut for Färjestad this week. However, hockey will have to wait a while, as an injury in the gym puts the American player out.
"He will miss the games this week, then we will re-evaluate the injury," says Mattias Hell, medical director at the SHL club, in a statement.
The 27-year-old defenseman was signed by Färjestad last week. He most recently came from the AHL team Hershey Bears.
