Dallas star Mikko Rantanen avoided military service in Finland. Now the 28-year-old is sentenced to fines according to Yle.
The 28-year-old hockey player submitted an application for deferment – but it came too late. Rantanen was sentenced on Tuesday in the Helsinki district court for unauthorized absence to ten days of fines – which for him means a total of 33,290 euros, equivalent to approximately 370,600 kronor.
Rantanen has denied the allegations.
