Ekman Larsson will also play in the national team tournament Beijer Hockey Games in Ängelholm next week, the Swedish Ice Hockey Association announced in an email to members of the national team's supporters' association.
At the same time, it was announced that four other NHL players will be included in Sweden's World Cup squad. These are Chicago goaltender Arvid Söderblom, Detroit defenseman Albert Johansson and New York Islanders duo Simon Holmström and Emil Heineman, both forwards. The quartet will also play in the tournament in Ängelholm from May 7-10.
The World Cup will be held in Switzerland from May 15-31.
