Coach Carlo Ancelotti presented his World Cup squad on Monday and chose to include Neymar, who has had major knee problems in recent years.
Neymar is Brazil's all-time leading goalscorer, with 79 goals in 128 appearances. He enjoyed his heyday at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain but returned to his homeland and São Paulo club Santos last year.
Brazil will play their World Cup opener on June 14 against Morocco. Later in the group stage, they will face Haiti and Scotland.
