Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed Neymar's injury problems at a press conference on Saturday night, local time in Sweden. The 34-year-old veteran striker is not yet fully training with the World Cup team.
"Neymar is working very hard to get back as soon as possible," Ancelotti said, according to the BBC.
Brazil's first match in the World Cup will be played on Sunday night, local time in Sweden, against Morocco. They will then face Haiti a week later and Scotland on June 24. There is uncertainty about whether Neymar will be available to play in the group stage.
"The expectation is that he will rehabilitate and train with the team again next week," Ancelotti said.
