The company's AI service, Meta AI, will thus be able to provide news information, including links to the original source, when a user asks questions about news events.
Meta's news content partners include CNN, Fox News and Le Monde. Through the collaboration, Meta hopes to make the AI service more "accurate and balanced." In a blog post, the company also writes that it is currently difficult for AI systems to "keep up" with current events.
Meta AI is available through the company's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp.
