The Catalan giants confirmed on Wednesday evening the rumors already circulating in the Spanish football press that they are about to sign 25-year-old Anthony Gordon.
Barcelona have reached an agreement with Newcastle for the left winger, AFP has been told.
A source told AFP that Gordon, who was recently named in England's World Cup squad, is expected to be unveiled by Barcelona later this week. The fee is believed to be around 70 million euros (£65 million), plus another 10 million euros in bonuses.
