Satellite images from Monday show two small water facilities with light blue pipes, typical of water infrastructure, on a hill near a populated area.

In video footage published by Iranian media on Wednesday, it is seen that the roof of one facility has collapsed and in the other a hole is visible in the middle of the roof.

Iranian state media reported on Wednesday that the US had attacked water reservoirs and that 20,000 people in nearby villages and towns were without water.

On Thursday, Iranian media reported that the water supply had been restored.

It is unclear whether the attack was deliberately targeted at the water facility, but attacking civilian infrastructure may constitute a war crime.
