Satellite images taken on Monday show two small water facilities with light-blue pipes, typical of water infrastructure, on a hill near a populated area.

In videos published by Iranian media on Wednesday, the roof of one facility has collapsed and the other has a hole in the middle of its roof.

Iranian state media reported on Wednesday that the US had attacked water reservoirs and that 20,000 people in nearby villages and towns were without water.

It is unclear whether the attack was deliberately targeted at the water facilities, but attacking civilian infrastructure may constitute a war crime.
