After an opening loss against Finland, Tre Kronor women's team recorded victories on both Thursday and Friday. A 3–1 win against the Czech Republic was followed by a 5–2 win against Switzerland in Hämeenlinna.
This could give Sweden a tournament victory despite the loss to the home nation in the opening match. If the result in tonight's final match between Finland and the Czech Republic goes Sweden's way, the Damkronorna will clinch first place.
Regardless, the double victories give Sweden a boost ahead of the Olympics in February. The Euro Hockey Tour tournament in Finland was the last before the national team gathers for departure to Italy in February.
