The thefts of valuables at Danderyd Hospital have continued despite a person being arrested in December and now being charged with aggravated theft at the hospital, reports Aftonbladet.

The hospital is now strengthening its procedures.

"We are now investigating about fifteen new cases involving lost jewelry and watches in cooperation with the police," says Chief Medical Officer Corinne Pedroletti in a press release.

The hospital is now appealing to patients and relatives to leave valuables at home before hospital visits.

The defendant is suspected of having stolen jewelry and other valuables over a period of several years. The total value of the stolen goods exceeded one million kronor.
