The Swedish women's bandy team continues to impress in their pursuit of a seventh consecutive World Championship gold medal. On Friday, their third victory in three matches came as the group stage ended with a convincing 10–1 win over Norway.
Four two-goal scorers - Karla Thuresson, Tora Uebel, Emelie Åkerlund and Ella Oskarsson - laid the foundation for the scoring rout.
Next up is host nation Finland in Saturday's semi-final. When the teams met on Wednesday, Sweden won 8–0. Norway will face the USA in the other semi-final.
The Women's Bandy World Championship has been played since 2004. Sweden has won twelve of thirteen World Championship gold medals.
