Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, married to billionaire Tom Hagen, disappeared from her home in Lørenskog, Norway, in October 2018.
The man who has emerged as a new suspect in the investigation previously lived in Sweden, Norwegian population records show, reports TV2. He is well known to the police and has several previous convictions in Norway.
He denies any involvement in the case.
According to the man's defense attorney Victoria Holmen, the suspicion in the Hagen case appears to be based on mobile data and toll records indicating he was in the area on the day Anne-Elisabeth Hagen disappeared.
In 2024 and 2025, charges were dropped against several other people, including her husband Tom Hagen.
