The Louvre is closed Monday after another strike broke out, Le Monde reports.

Staff have recently called for several strikes, demanding better working conditions and criticizing "general decay" at the art institution in Paris.

On Monday, disappointed visitors were greeted by the news that the world's most visited museum was closed again.

In December, the museum closed completely for one day and kept parts of its collections closed for several days.

In October, the Louvre came under scrutiny after thieves stole jewels worth over 100 million euros in a spectacular daylight heist.
