The municipality has investigated another suspected sexual assault committed by an employee of the home care service in Uppsala, reports Upsala Nya Tidning.

What the investigation has concluded is not known, but one man has been suspended and has not been allowed to return to work, according to the newspaper.

The incident has been reported to Lex Sarah. An elderly person reportedly told another home care worker about the events.

Several elderly women came forward to the newspaper in 2024 and said that they had been subjected to rape and other abuse by home care staff. In April last year, all members of the elderly committee in Uppsala resigned.

At the same time, several similar stories of sexual abuse within home care have been brought to light elsewhere in Sweden in the aftermath of the events in Uppsala.
