In "Gunde and Ferry" they renovate a dilapidated 19th-century cottage next to the family's home in Dalarna. The renovation will take at most a year and the idea is that Gunde Svan's daughter Julia will be able to live there when she and her family visit.
According to Gunde Svan, the renovation project has two purposes. One is to entice Julia to return to Dalarna, but he also wants to pass on knowledge to the next generation:
"I want to pass on some of the knowledge I have accumulated throughout my life to Ferry while I can, just like my father did," he says in a press release.
"Gunde and Ferry" premieres on Kanal 5 and HBO Max this fall.
