Cheating with the costumes during the World Championships led to medals being stripped and suspensions. Now Norwegian ski jumping has new problems with the costumes – broken zippers.

Norwegian ski jumper Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal will miss today's World Cup competition in Falun when a zipper in his ski suit is not working.

"It hurts a lot not to be able to jump. The zipper broke at the top so I had to go down (from the diving tower)," he says.

He says he chose to stand over the competition (the normal back) to avoid the aftermath which would likely have led to disqualification anyway.

In the World Cup premiere in Lillehammer this weekend, another Norwegian jumper, Isak Andreas Langmo, was disqualified due to a broken zipper.

This spring, Johann André Forfang and Marius Lindvik were suspended for competing in illegal costumes during the World Championships. Lindvik was also stripped of his World Championships silver medal.

Tomorrow there will be a competition on the big hill in Falun.
