Levels dropped in the reservoirs that supply the central town and surrounding areas with water on Thursday evening. Residents were urged to use water very sparingly and the shortage was described as acute.
Already during the extensive water leak a week ago, the municipal water company Miva warned that more leaks in the main water pipe could occur.
On Friday morning, it was announced that the leak had been fixed, but users are urged to continue to use water sparingly on Friday.
