"17 June" is the title of a new novel by Alex Schulman, which will be released in August. The story is about teacher Vidar, who has been suspended from work. When he finds a note with the phone number of the family's old summer cottage – and dials it – his father, who has been dead for a long time, answers, and pivotal events from his childhood unfold.
The fall catalog from Albert Bonniers also includes new work by Lydia Sandgren. "The Survival of the Species" will be her first novel after her August Prize-winning debut "Collected Works" from 2020. Sandgren also writes about a teacher, Karl, who is tasked with writing a biography about a genius Italian conductor. However, Karl begins to question who his writing actually serves.
