Gandy most recently served at the Nordic Museum.
"Being able to develop the business further, together with the team, the board and our external partners, feels like both an inspiring and obvious next step after my years at the Nordic Museum," Gandy says in a press release.
Yvonne Sörensen Björud, chair of the board, says the board is proud of the appointment.
"She has an unusually broad background in art, fashion and design - Sven-Harry's focus areas - and with her extensive experience in museum development, she is very relevant in the work of refining Sven-Harry's as a cultural destination," Björud says.
Gandy succeeds Dragana K Maksimovic on July 1.
