Four people, including two women, were killed in an attack on a village outside the city of Tyre on Friday, according to Lebanon's Health Ministry.
In northern Israel, there were reports of projectiles fired from the direction of Lebanon, but they reportedly caused no damage.
There is a new escalation in the war in Lebanon, despite a formally fragile ceasefire. This, in turn, has implications for the broader Iran-related conflict.
Fighting has continued in the part of southern Lebanon controlled by Israel, including more Israeli airstrikes. On Thursday, at least twelve people were reported killed in Israeli strikes, and on Wednesday at least four.
