The documentary "Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition" contains, in addition to interviews with the band members, guest appearances from, among others, actor Javier Bardem, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, and rapper Chuck D.
The film, which is described as an "intimate look" at the band that formed in London in 1975, will be released in theaters in the United States on May 7.
A previously announced Iron Maiden documentary, about the band's former singer Paul Di'Anno, will premiere this summer.
