Ahead of the premiere at the Venice Film Festival, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor say that they filmed anonymous testimony from 24 Israeli soldiers.
The purpose was very simple: We wanted to hear, in as much detail as possible, what the systems of killing in Gaza looked like and how they worked, Abraham told AFP.
The interviewees describe how the telecommunications network, monitored by Israel, was combined with AI to identify people who were to be killed.
Mass surveillance is directly linked to mass killing, says Yuval Abraham.
75,000 people are reported to have died in Gaza in the first 16 months of the war, according to the Lancet Global Health. Israel denies targeting civilians.
