”Love and other diagnoses”. That is the title of a new upcoming feature film by Daniel Sawka (”Icebox”).
The film revolves around two young people on the autism spectrum who refuse to let the outside world control their lives.
”My storytelling often starts from people in my vicinity and their experiences, in this case my brother. I want to make a film about loneliness, longing and love – elements of life that we all share, but this time experienced by a person on the autism spectrum”, says Sawka in a press release.
The young couple is played by debutants Tuva Beckman and Carl Kristoffersen, and in other roles are seen among others Jonas Karlsson, Filip Berg, Shima Niavarani and Grynet Molvig.
The film will have its Swedish cinema premiere in October 2026.
